These programs enable us to offer our customers a flexible range of technical options to meet very demanding product requirements. We maintain a strong focus on product performance by focusing on high temperature physical chemistry, phase transformations and microstructure evolution, alloy design, electron microscopy, solidification science, surface and interfacial science and computational methods in materials science. Our family of technology and manufacturing staff welcome inquiries for unique, noncommercial alloy products, such as those required in basic university or government laboratory materials research.

Research and Development Facilities

KB Alloys maintains a wide range of metallurgical and analytical facilities throughout the corporation that are dedicated to and available for a wide range of collaborative research and development programs. These facilities range from structural and chemical characterization tools to electron beam refining furnaces.

Our Henderson, Kentucky, location is home to one of KB Alloys two advanced research and development centers, featuring a complete technical library, metallurgical laboratory and fully functional pilot foundry for alloy development, all under an ISO 9001:200 certified quality system. This outstanding resource is unique within the industry.
